Let’s Stay Connected on Social Media

How much happier and more fulfilling would our lives be if we filled our minds (and social media feeds) with truth and encouragement? Even if you’re not ready to talk with a counselor yet, you can still feed yourself healthy thoughts and perspectives!

I share free, practical resources on RLC Facebook & Instagram, covering topics like chronic illness, anxiety, depression, religious OCD, and caregiving burnout. If you’re looking for a trustworthy source of encouragement, I’d love to you to join me on social media! (RLC clients sign a form at the start of counseling saying that they know that I do not specifically solicit clients as “fans” due to upholding ethical boundaries protecting their privacy.)

The posts RLC make are created from my own hardest seasons and ongoing lessons from my personal and professional journey for both sufferers and helpers: simple truths, practical tools, and reminders that you’re not crazy – and you’re definitely not alone. Join me as I meet you in the heaviness of your battle with a gentle nudge of truth and hope.

Absolutely loved attending and speaking at the 5th Faith and OCD Virtual Conference today! Full circle moment for me with having started attending IOCDF conferences a few years ago. Humbled and delighted to have had the opportunity to speak for the first time at this event and for any chance I get to praise my Savior for being my Gap Filler. Learned so much from everyone who shared. Thankful for this community!!! 🎉🙌❤️
Holidays can be a doozy for grief, anxiety, and depression, but we are here to help you navigate each moment. 🤍 Comment “CONACT” for the link to our client interest form!
Did you know I’m writing a book on OCD? I can’t believe it will be out in 2026– it’s been a long journey! Please consider praying for me as I navigate writing the rest of this book and for those who need to be encouraged in their OCD journey. I hope my book can be a resource for both the sufferer and the helper! 🤍

The holidays are often a raw season for people with all of the layers that the holidays can bring. I always encourage clients to practice self-compassion and to hold space for the variety of emotions that can come with the holidays. Anxiety, grief, shame, and frustration are just a few of the emotions that can pop up. When you find these emotions bubbling up, rather than stuffing or numbing them, practice normalizing and validating that you are having them, welcoming them and finding healthy releases for them. This may be journaling, working out, talking it out, taking time away from people, listening to music, and doing “non holiday” things that you find regulating. The holidays do not have to be your “most wonderful time of the year,” but perhaps by embracing the reality of what you DO feel, the holidays can become an opportunity for some personal healing. Through it all, Jesus wants to hold space for the range of your emotions as well-after all, He came to experience all the rawness of what it means to be human.

Completed this other amazing course that both speaks to my clinical love of holistic treatment of mental health and a long personal journey that continues to unfold even now (proving that some of the hardest suffering can be the most hidden and also that God can use our weaknesses to help others!). Thankful for root cause answers and real, lasting solutions to complex mental health struggles. I myself have personally benefited from functional psychiatry and love referring clients to these resources and watching their lives improve. My clients and my story are my forever inspiration! No cookie cutter answers here but instead learning specific, scientific tools and testing for INDIVIDUALS. I will forever shout this from the rooftops! Thank you @psychiatry_redefined and the incredible Dr Greenblatt specifically for empowering clinicians to make a difference! #psychiatryredefined #functionalpsychiatry #rootcauses #therapist #integrativehealth
